CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – BizVets Connect, a local nonprofit organization, hosted a local hero recognition celebration Tuesday at the William O. Beach Civic Hall. Close to 60 people attended the event with four organizations recognized as Unsung Heroes.

The four organizations awarded honors were the Freedom Fighting Collective, Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, American Legion Gary W. Along with the organizational awards, a representative of each organization was recognized with a personal award for their selfless dedication.

BizVets Vice President Chris Shanks praised the award winners. “Each of these organizations epitomize an ideal that BizVets holds dear; education, community fellowship, patriotism and selfless service, and their actions regularly have a positive impact on this community,” Shanks said.
